I Am a Burning Planet (work-in-progress)
digital and 16mm film, experimental essay, (Director/Animator/Editor, in production)
I Am A Burning Planet entwines personal experience with planetary crisis. Through lyrical fragments and imagery, the film bears witness to the ways heat shapes both body and Earth, exposing how survival is unevenly distributed across class, race, and disability. It traces not only who migrates and who is left behind, but also how the non-human world - coastlines, forests, animals - endures and suffers alongside us. By refusing to separate the intimate from the ecological, the film illuminates the layered exclusions of the climate emergency while asking what it means to witness a planet, and ourselves, burning together.
